Description: Very nice 19th century lighting device – it is a little whale oil lamp blown in a mold of very heavy glass. It has its original pewter collar, burner and burner cap attached with a good amount of wick inside. You can actually see pictures of this same type of whale oil lamp in books on Boston & Sandwich Glass. This lamp is in very good condition – completely authentic. It measures 4 3/8” at highest with a overall diameter of approx 2 ¼”.
