Description: This is a very nice 19th century whale oil lamp which I presume was made by the New England Glass Company. It is very hard to tell the difference between New England and Boston & Sandwich but never the less a real good one in a very very spectacular pattern as well. I’m not quite sure of the pattern name but it appears to be an elongated fluted loop. As you can see the lamp is very architectural in nature. It is blown in a mold. It is in absolutely wonderful condition for its age. It has the original pewter collar and double whale oil burner. It measures 6 7/8” at highest with a base diameter of 3 1/8”.
