Description: Wedgwood biscuit barrel / cookie jar with silver plated handle and lid. Measures 9 3/4inches to top of handle. Rim is 5 1/4inches accross. Deep blue jasperware with applied Classic scenes and foliage. Beautiful relief figures of ancient Greek and Roman men, women, horses, angels and chariots in various pursuits. Twisted silver handle with domed silver lid are not marked, so assumed to be plate. Great shape with very minor age cracks in some of the white - visible only under magnification. One tiny ding on the rim of the lid - in no way distracts from the piece. Marked underneath with incised Wedgwood and Made in England.
