Description:
This beautiful solid oak trunk was hand-crafted in England around 1700. Over the past 300+ years, the oak has a distinct grain and complexion which is complemented by the hand carved panels. There are (4) floating panels on the front with (2) carved reliefs on either side. 1' thick wood is often used to construct this piece. There is plenty of storage space with the interior measuring 24" x 53" x 25". This trunk is a very unique place to store blankets or as a coffee table for the living room. The condition remains good, with general wear consistent with the trunk's age. The top is split at the seam (pictured below). The original key has been lost, and part of one of the hinges is missing. Don't miss your chance to make this beautiful English oak coffer a part of your home today!
