Description: Exquisite and very unusual pair of antique Victorian / Edwardian earrings. Made 19th century - 1860-80's.

Measure approx 1 1/4 inches long.

Very elegant crescent shape. Each earring has two cabochon oval opals with very finely set small diamonds forming the background. The quality of the opals is lovely - showing a beautiful range of colours from blues to yellows with a marvellous inner glow and iridescence. The stones are set in silver as was most common for the Victorian period. The attachments were probably replaced with clips - very secure and done in 14k gold. Quality of workmanship is superb.

The earrings curl up the earlobe when worn - most unusual and elegant.

Very good condition. No damage/loss.
