Description:

This is a gorgeous, simple antique Victorian hanging whatnot shelving unit.

This shelves were used throughout the Victorian era to showcase collectible knick knacks and porcelain figurines as well as photos and other personal items. Many had backs to the shelves to keep the small items from sliding off. However since this one is mounted to the wall, the wall served that purpose.

This particular one has beautiful yet simple open cut work sides and a scroll cut bottom. The shelves are graduated with the deepest one on the bottom.
