The height to the lower level is 21 inches. This superb 2 tier mahogany buffet was purchased near Oxford, England. It dates from the late victorian period. A very elegant & unusual piece. 2 top drawers, one with the cutlery compartment. The base cupboards are quite roomy with shelves to one side. One door does not quite close & the pull is missing. Looks easily fixed. Carved columns. The handles are ornate, but do not appear to be original. Marks commensurate with age & use.
