Description: RARE ANTIQUE VICTORIAN FANCY CELLULOID.

Rich ivory color celluloid box.

Opens to light blue felt lined storage compartment for keeping treats and treasures safe.

A Greco-Roman woman lounges among flowers on the cover.

The 'book' is gold trimmed with original working ornate brass clasp.

Box rests on a rectangular flared footed base with molded dot edging.

The bottom compartment held a music box mechanism.

From original paper inside...music was Razzle Dazzle and Yankee Doodle Dandy.

Good condition - small crack on the front cover by the lady's rear. Crack does not create loose top or pieces.

Measurements: top - 8 1/2 inches across; 10 5/8 inches tall; interior chamber - 1 1/4 inches deep, 8 1/4 inches tall, 6 inches across; 'book' height - 2 1/4 inches; total height - 4 inches; base - 9 1/2 inches wide, 12 inches tall.
