Description:
A simply stunning T&V (Tressemann & Vogt) Limoges dresser tray.
This oval tray has a somewhat scalloped edge with a dotted relief following line of edge (see photos, this is hard to describe). The "handles" feature scrolled and scalloped relief work and appear to have some gilding at one time. The outer rim is a light teal blue and the center has vines of purple violets(?) and a white daisy-like flower (i don't know my flowers).
The stamp on the back has the traditional T&V Limoges France stamp in green which dates the piece to 1892- 1917. There is an additional stamp which I cannot make out clearly. It reads: "Century Date FEBy 25th 1901" The words I cannot decipher completely are "Date FEBY". Please see photos to see if you can read it. But it appears to specifically date the piece to 1901.
Dimensions: 7.25" x 9.75"
Condition: Very good. The are no chips, cracks, flea bites or crazing. The inly issue is some rubbing off of guilding. Please see photos for yourself.
