Description: Antique Torrey Shell Horse Hide Leather Barber's Strop Straight Edge Razor Sharper. This is a very nice antique strop, it has a light colored leather and was made by Torrey of Worcester, Mass. The top has a heart shaped metal piece that so the strop could be attached to a belt or counter, the razor was then slid along the leather and sharpened. This strop has two leathers, one with a smooth finish and the other with a ribbed finish. The front one is marked with Made by Torrey, Worcester, Mass, USA, Shell Horse Hide. In very good condition especially considering the age, does have signs of use but the leather is in overall very good condition. Due to the age of it I would not recommend actually using it. It comes from a smoke free environment and would be nice addition to your collection!
