Description: Please excuse my glaring ignorance when describing this antique tapestry/ rug. This piece measures 42' x 46' inches and has a wonderfully detailed hand sewn battle scene as it's main attraction. The detail in the sewing is of high quality without question. My guess this very bloody and gory scene is likely a Turkish and or Persian encounter. The tapestry is the very least over 100 years old and likely older. It is in pretty decent shape with a few holes and staining. The fabric itself seems very strong and not brittle. A powerful looking piece. Thank you for your interest and consideration.
