Description: This Surgical set by Favre was made in France in the mid 1800's. The original label inside the lid, (see pic. 3), says, "Favre A Paris, Rue De L'Ecole Le Medecine 1". The box is oak with a red chamois interior, typical of French medical instruments. The bowsaw, 3 scalpels, 2 tenaculums, and 3 knives are all marked Favre. The 2 small forceps are unmarked. There are also a few curved needles and suture material.
