Description:
This beautiful antique style yew chest on chest was originally crafted as two chests for the British RAF around 1970. Recently, the chests were restored by an English cabinetmaker and brought together into a single chest on chest. The wood is a rich yew that has been meticulously inlaid in what is commonly known as an oyster pattern, which is complemented all the more by elegant swan neck brass pulls. The dentil moulding also looks quite wonderful, while the shaped bracket feet are as sturdy as they are pleasing to the eye. Each drawer features dovetailed joints, while this chest on chest separates into the top and bottom for shipping and easy movement, so there is no need to worry about how to get this chest in and around your home! Because it was recently restored, this antique style chest on chest remains in excellent condition, although it does retain some stress marks here and there, which really only enhance the antique charm of this chest.
