Antique Sterling Silver American Colonial Style Bowl
Description: Sterling Silver Bowl in Colonial American Style, 20C, Possibly by La Pierre Mfg. Co. in Newark. The circular bowl has a circular stepped footed base. A simple linear border ornaments the exterior. On the base underside is stamped a hallmark (pound sterling symbol) that is similar to the one in use at La Pierre. "Sterling," "1652," and "Early American Period" are also stamped there. Dimensions: 3-1/8" High, 5-3/4" Diameter. Weight: 9 troy oz. Condition: The bowl is in good condition with only a few surface scratches. There are signs of tarnishing and oxidation, but the bowl has a lustrous golden patina, so polishing is optional.
