Description: For sale is an antique Staffordshire platter. c:1893-1938. Oval platter with blue backstamp: F & Sons, (Chatsworth in a banner symbol), Burslem. 'Chatsworth' is the pattern name, (Ford & Sons). Mark 'k', pg. 18 in Kovels. No chips or cracks; does have crazing, and some age discoloration as is expected. It is not porcelain; it is likely earthenware or semi-porcelain. It is 14.5 long x 10.75 wide. The color is a deep teal blue and goes great with the other 2 antique platters I have for sale too!
