Purchased from a collector of antique collector, this snuff bottle measures 3 inches tall and the center width is 1 ˝ inches; found unmarked this antique snuff bottle still has the residue of the red archive “tape” on the bottom to insure the snuff bottle stands erect and does not fall over in a display cabinet.
Snuff bottles have always been collectible, made from a wide assortment of materials, from china; it is a fun item to collect as most of them were truly ornate and decorative.
