Description: This is a magnificent sterling silver equestrian trophy by Sheffield silversmiths Walke & Hall is a classic design. Standing on a circular pedestal base with gadrooned trim this egg-shaped cup has two lovely C-scroll handles with leafy embellishments. The high-domed lid is trimmed with plain banding and is topped with a figural finial of a horse and rider. This trophy is in excellent condition overall and has not been monogrammed. It is finely crafted and would make a striking addition to any trophy case. It measures approx. 16" high to the top of the finial, the opening of the cup is approx. 7" in diameter, and it weighs approx. 79 troy ounces. It is fully hallmarked under the base, on the body below the rim, and on the lid including the maker's mark of Walke & Hall. The timeless design of this trophy makes it an exceptional find-a handsome and stately piece.
