Description:
Absolutely stunning hand made Ship model the St Paul– this is in no way a model from a kit. The information I have with this says that this model was made by F. E. Brinnick. It was very finely done – so much detail – impeccable detail. It is in awesome condition, just excellent. There isn’t a bit of damage on this entire model. I don’t believe it was ever taken out of this case. When it was made? My feeling is maybe in the 1920’s or just some time in the early 1900’s – it is not new. Judging from the case that is the feeling that I get. The case is very well made capped in brass corners. It is very sturdy and structural sound – easily movable. The following is a little bit of information regarding the Ship St. Paul that I have with it “1824 ton vessel built at Bath [Maine] by Chapman & Flint in 1874. She was in the Cape Horn trade until 1901 then became a Salmon Packer for 23 years. She was laid up until 1930 when she was saved from the wrecker and became a floating museum for a few years prior to her final demise. Model by F. E. Brinnick Courtesy of the Builder” Overall in the case is measures 41 ˝”w x 27 ˝”h x 13” deep.
