Description: Antique 18 kt. yellow gold carnelian and bloodstone spinner watch fob, Birmingham 1871. This fabulous British hallmarked fob measures 1.375 in. (length) x 1.25 in. (width). This has an extra heavy hand made triple wire ribbed design arch. The center has a double sided oval bezel which is rivetted to the arch so that it may spin freely. One side is set with an oval bevelled slab cut genuine sard (chalcedony). This gauges 24.0 mm. (length) x 19.0 mm. (width). The colour is medium deep to deep reddish brown. The other side of the bezel is set with an oval bevelled slab cut genuine bloodstone. This gauges 24.0 mm. (length) x 19.0 mm. (width) and the colour is deep slightly bluish greyish green flecked with an attractive sprinkling of red. This fob weighs 17.2 grams.
