Antique Russian Silver & Cut Glass Fruit Dish 20th C
Description: Antique Russian Silver & Brilliant Cut Glass Presentation Fruit Bowl/Dish, Early 20th C. The glass dish is cut with diamonds and hobstars. The top of the silver rim is engraved: "To A.W. MACPHERSON. ESQ. FROM THE YORKSHIRE AMATEUR A.F.C. AS A TOKEN OF REGARD AND ESTEEM. AUGUST. 1928". The side of the silver rim features an embossed lattice-like diamond and floral band pattern with beaded edge and is marked/stamped with left facing profile hallmark, two character Cyrillic mark (possibly "PC") and "875" mark. Dimensions: 12" Diameter, 1-5/8" Deep. Weight: 5lbs. 10oz. Condition: The silver is tarnished. There are a few small/minor scratches and dents to the surface and edges of the silver rim. There is some light scratching/wear to the surface of the glass bowl. There are a number of small/tiny surface chips/nicks to the edges of the cut glass pattern. There is some shelf-wear (surface scratching) to the underside of the base. Otherwise, the dish is in good condition.
