Description:
SET OF EIGHT VIENNA AUSTRIA enameled PLATES. The plates have different scenes which is a combination of transfer and hand painting. They appear to depict Greek goddesses in four different scenes, one shows a semi-nude woman with putti lighting torch with magnifying glass another shows semi-nude woman with flying putti and the remaining two are variations of flying putti with all having background settings in colorful clouds. The plates are identified as follows "Artmis", "Juno", "Chloris" and "Aglaia". Green and gold border, the backs marked with a beehive "Austria". They measure 9 ½” in diameter. They are all in very good condition with some slight rubbing/wear to the gold.
