Description:
Antique Royal Bonn vanity tray. c:1836-1920. Attractive antique tray; feels like semi-porcelain. A lot of crazing on this tray and some wear off painted flowers. On backside rim edge there are 3 old surface flakes, but are not visible on the frontside. This tray is 12.75 long x 9.25 wide. Very shabby chic looking! Has the green castle Bonn mark on back, (backward FAM mark inside castle), then Bonn, Germany. FAM stands for Franz Anton Mehlem, and has an impressed circular stamp mark FAM, Franz Anton Mehlem, Bonn, something: and incised number #1599. Very pretty to display on a plate stand in the curio cabinet or on an antique vanity in the powder room, or on a dressing table! The low price reflects the aging flaws.
