Description: This is a highly decorative box in gilded brass with a riot of decoration all around. The lid is what makes this box just that little bit more special, and certainly more sought-after. There are two very sweet Cherubs or Putti figures either side of a vacant cartouche, which could be engraved if desired. The lid pulls of and is good firm fit. The underside of the box is signed, hard to see, the makers initials K & S and London. Dating to around 1880, Victorian in period, the box remains in excellent condition. Measures 3 1/4" high with a diameter measuring 2 1/2". Shipping and insurance are included.
