Description:
This attractive ornate frame is most likely one of a kind. I was under the impression that the silver finish was factory issue but after showing it to my silversmith for an opinion he had no hesitation in stating that it was a later custom plating. This design is quite common. It is always seen as gilded cast iron. The frame is shinier than my photos show. It displays extremely well especially if it would showcase a lovely child in a lacy outfit on a wicker chair. Best of all there is no need to ever polish it, it doesn't tarnish.
