Description: Pewter inkwell in the shape of a boat with two snakes at each side. The cover in the middle belongs on it, but it looks like the knob on it not. with the two other two covers I do have my doubts, but if they do not belong there, then it is not a very bad match, I bought it anyway like this. The four holes on the side are maybe to put feathers or pens in. There are no cracks in the boat. It does not look mint, but it is old, and to me it is still ok, and interesting with these snakes around a boat [maybe it is 18th century]. The boat with the snakes is 23 centimeter [9 inches] long and 7 centimeter [2.75 inches] wide. Total weight is 945 gram [33.ounces].
