This is a very old and very darling handmade petticoat.

Found in the same estate as many of my recent listings, this comes from a wealthy, well--traveled family with a lot of history.

This petticoat is tiny. The waist is about 20" in circumference and 27" long. It was found in box filled with doll clothes, so my guess is it is a child's undergarment.

Would make a darling outer skirt in today's modern less modest world. It has some gorgeous tight horizontal pleating (or tucks) a tight double ruffle at the hem. Made of cotton of a wonderful grade.

Comes with typewritten and handwritten note of its history.
