Description: Antique Patinated Spelter Statue Entitled "Progres" H=20 1/2 inches On base of wood and ornamented spelter– Good Antique Condition – Minor rubs to patina. Circa 1900 This patinated spelter or regule statue of a woman holding a laurel wreath in her right hand and a sprig of laurel in her raised hand is representing progress. There is a half fluted column to her left with a torch atop a scroll. All this rests upon a two tiered round spelter base ornamented with laurel branches, flowers, and buds and a stepped out round wooden base.
