Description:
This is part of an old Louisiana southern estate we bought years back. I have been selling pieces off of it for years and here is more. If you are restoring an old house we have PLENTY of architectural and metal parts that were once part of this fabulous old house.
This is for 5 individual figural arms of an antique chandelier and each one has a very unusual cherub ( or European figure) on each end. Not only are the arms arched but there is a layer on the inside drop that is a leafy vine.
These are made to hold wires for electric bulbs but also could have been for candles. The bulb holders screw off. They measure 5" across from the back of the cherub to the front of the bulb socket. They drop down 4". These are in very good condition and you are getting FIVE. I don’t think I have ever seen a chandelier with these type of figureheads. I also have ones with snakes.
These could easily be used on other things besides a chandelier because they have a little ledge behind the cherub that has two holes to bolt it onto something. To say the least the estate was a bit bizarre and for us a treasure of eccentric antiques that were one of a kind.
