Description:
A wonderful late Victorian or early Edwardian equestrian inspired inkwell, created from solid English Oak with silver plated fittings. The base is horseshoe shaped as is the angled pen stand at the rear which is fitted to accept two pens (the pen in one of the photographs is NOT included). T is a central square mount which acts as the receptacle for the crystal inkwell with it's hinged lid. The glass is in excellent shape without any chips or cracks. Excellent condition with minor wear to silver plate and a few scratches to the front, commensurate with age and use. Measures 5 1/2" wide x 6" deep. Perfect for the horse lover's desk top. Worldwide insured airmail included.
