Description: This is a large old Postmasters desk that came out of an old postoffice in Wisconsin. It comes apart in two pieces, the top lifts off and then the base.It has a slant top, lots of drawers, including the money drawer. It is very heavy and made of solid oak.Beautiful paneled back and sides.I have it in the shop so please excuse items around it.It is to heavy to move for a picture. On the very top back there was a wooden cubicle type piece that was in not so great condition.I kept the piece so someone could use it as a pattern if they wanted to make a new one to re-place it.That is why there are two round holes on the top edge. The original pulls were not all there so I bought new brass ones to go with it.I have not put them on as I decided to let the buyer do what they choose, but they go with it.There were some old parts with it that are included but not enough for the entire desk. The wood is so pretty and the piece stands 44" tall to highest point of the back,It is 83 1/2" long and 34 3/4" deep. This must be picked up or make your own arrangements for pick-up.Great look for a log home or country office.Would be great for a drafting area also as it has the slant to the top.
