Description:
What a perfect candidate for a restoration project. The Mop stick sections are much longer than usually seen. The shells they were carved from must have been enormous. Please be aware that the piercings don't show up very well except in 2 of my photos. Be sure to view all. The fan sticks need cleaning, there is old glue on some of them where a previous owner tried to fix matters. I leave it up to the buyer to remove that. Both end paper sections have paper missing and need work to bring them back to their original splendor. The gilding shows tarnish as pictured. There is a break in the MOP of the right guard stick and the left one appears to be missing altogether. The all hand-painted front shows a group of 6 in Tudor dress whereas the reverse shows printed & hand-tinted scenes from the Italian Renaissance. A fun project for a fan lover.
