Antique Modernist Solid Bronze Encrier Inkstand, C.1900
Description: Antique Modernist Art Deco Style Solid Bronze Encrier Inkstand, Late 19th-Early 20th C. Probably American. The very heavy inkstand weighs over 23 lbs. and is comprised of a rectangular stand with two pen wells and attached central covered box/well with cover flanked by two matching loose inkwells with covers. The piece is not visibly signed or marked. Price Comparison: $600-800 in Fine Art & Antiques Gallery. Dimensions: 10" Long, 6" Deep, 3-1/4" High. Weight: 23.5lbs. Condition: There is some light scratching/denting/wear to the surface and edges of the bronze stand and inkwells. There is some light oxidation to the surface of the bronze. Otherwise, the inkstand is in good condition.
