Description: Here is an elegant and decorative Portrait Plate with a scallop shell design. It is an absolutely spectacular work of art! It is Limoge marked on the back Elite Limoge France and written in script on the back is the name Madam Braddyl with the initials E.M.L. 1894 - all in fancy script. This beautiful plate has a portrait of a colonial woman with highly raised enamel decoration all around the edges. This scalloped shell designed plate is lavishly gilded in gold gilt enamel. The plate is in very good condition with no chips, brakes, crazing, or other flaws. It is quite the little master peace! Measures 8 3/8” in diameter.
