Item Description:
This is a large antique solid pine German apothecary kitchen spice cupboard. It has a classic beveled cornice with fluted sides on the front with lovely carved accents on top. This cupboard has 15 small drawers on top, 6 medium on the sides and 2 big ones on the bottom. One of the small ones is missing its handle but still has its original screw so it may still be repaired. They all operate smoothly and are well constructed with dovetail joinery. In the center this cupboard features a surface area that is decorated with two lovely curved brackets on top and it has a convenient hole in the back to be used for any electric cords of any electrical appliance or other handy items. Below it there is an ample cabinet with one removable shelf. The cabinet doors have a lock mechanism with key present. They are paneled and one has a minor wood separation and some wear but it is not distracting at all, in fact it just adds character to the cupboard. Parts of the left side of this piece have some age appropriate flaws that can be overlooked otherwise it is overall in good cosmetic and structural condition and it is very strong and sturdy made of heavy pine and supported by solid bun feet. This is an outstanding piece of furniture that will become very useful at home, surely to be treasured by many.
