Description: This is a small moderately heavy metal car with rubber tires and a spring action inside. On the side is a hole; back in there is a square peg; the key has a square hole and it fits over the peg. (Please forgive me as I try to describe this. I don't know much at all about cars, key-wind apparatus, etc., but I will do the best I can.) The car looks to me like those in old gangster movies--maybe from the 1930s. I gently tried winding the key, and it didn't move; I didn't force it so as not to break it. Inside, there are tiny wheels with cogs, these look a little rusty and that may be the problem. I see no rust on the outside. The bottom of the car is a separate plate of metal that looks to me like steel, and I think it can be removed with the proper tools (and knowledge) to check the inner parts. One of the cogged wheels extends below the bottom plate, as designed. On the bottom plate the following is embossed: A Wee-Kin Toy (Regd) Made in England, The Humber Super Snipe; The Chad Valley Co. Ltd., WDC. The body is an almost metallic kind of green with the surface in very good condition; there are very light scritches on the door near the key hole; a very slight pin-size dent on the roof; other very faint, teeny scritches here and there. Three tires are in fine condition; the fourth is loose on its rim. I think it is diecast, and there are good details like the grill on the front, the trunk hinges, the gas tank cap, etc. The key has a slightly rougher surface than the car body.
