Japan. The front surface of the teapot is cast with a large flower pattern. The top of the teapot is fitted with a gilt lacquer lid with various motifs above a raised painted wood ring/band. The teapot and lid have been drilled and mounted as a table lamp on a brass and carved wood stand with brass post and single socket with harp. The lamp is not visibly marked. Dimensions: Full Lamp (to top of finial): 22-3/4" High, 9-3/4" Wide, 7-1/4" Deep. Lamp Base (to top of handle on teapot): 10-3/4" High. Weight: 6lbs. Condition: The cord is old but intact and the lamp appears to be in working condition. The underside of the handle has been fitted with a brass edging to keep it stable/upright. There is some oxidation to the surface of the cast iron teapot and handle. There is some rubbing/wear to the painted wood mounts and gilt lacquer cover/lid. There are two cracks/breaks along the top edge/rim of the wood band beneath the lacquer cover (one has been re-glued and the other is pulling away slightly). The finial is missing. Otherwise, the lamp is in good condition.
