Description: Meiji period-circa 1880 Japanese ivory carving in shape of geisha. This is an excellent ivory carving of late 19th. century. The carving is signed on the base with a small mother of pearl tablet containing 2 characters mark. It is in perfect shape, once had an implement in the hands that now is missing. Size: 4.8 inches in length.
