A Very Beautiful and Important Japanese Imari Bowl, Circa 1850, Of the Purest Japanese Porcelain, Exuberantly Decorated in Vivid Colors or Rust, Iron-Red and Cobalt, Lavishly accented by the most Beautiful and Subtle Gilt Work, all done by the Most Expert Hand. While patterns of Stylized Vines, Leaves, and Chrysanthemums ramble over the Surface of the Bowl, they are interrupted by the Most Beautiful Japanese Fan, Decorated in Brocade Patterns, Designs that were taken Directly from Images and Motifs from the Kimonos of the time period. The Large Scalloped Edge Bowl Shows Absolutely No signs of wear or abuse. No Chips, cracks, breaks or repairs of any kind. The typical marks on the bottom, where the bowl sat in the Kiln. A Most Impressive piece.
