Description: This Jacobean oak bureau was crafted in England around 1920. This piece is made of solid-oak and it's nearly 90-year lifespan has contributed to the rich patina. This secretarie has a generous amount of storage space with (4) drawers and (4) shelves behind the fall and (2) cabinets below the fall. Geometrical designs and carving adorns the fall front and cabinet doors. The tear-drop pulls are solid-brass. This piece sits atop barley twist legs and flattened bun feet. The skirt is carved around the front and shaped on the side. There is slight water damage on the left side (pictured above) and some of the bobbin-turns have been chipped slightly.
