This netsuke is 100% SOLID ELEPHANT IVORY and in EXCELLENT CONDITION. It was HAND CARVED, HAND SCRIMSHAWED and SIGNED in China by a gifted master craftsman. This netsuke was carved in China many years ago – a beautiful piece of art that will last you many lifetimes. This netsuke is UNIQUE and exhibits beautiful IVORY GRAIN – showcasing the colors nature has chosen to bestow upon it. The ivory has been highly polished and exquisitely detailed. The quality of the ivory, the quality of the carving and the quality of the scrimshaw work are all exceptional. This is an extremely well carved netsuke of a samurai warrior in his traditional garb. This antique netsuke is beautifully scrimshawed and the warrior actually seems to come to life. This is substantial netsuke is DOUBLE the weight of an average netsuke.
