Description: Welcome! For sale is this exquisitely carved Chinese export (early 20th century) ivory composite (a material made of ivory and bone chips and dust mixed with resin) figurine of a Japanese Geisha lady holding a fan. The actual figurine measures 8 1/4 inches high and with the carved black stone base it measures 9 1/2 inches high. The general width is about 2 inches, but it varies. This figurine has been carved with intricate detail to the face, elaborate hair style, robes and fan. It is signed on the back with characters and is in very good condition.
