Description: Absolutely wonderful Irish compote dating from the very early 19th century – approx 1820. It has a gorgeous, cut scalloped flowing top edge with a paneled center. It has that spectacular wonderful colorless Irish glass. It is flint and when you tap it - it rings like a bell. It is in relatively perfect condition – and I say relative because it is very very hard to find an Irish piece of glass that is totally perfect. This one has just a few little rough flea bites along the top scalloped edge the largest one being the size of a little finger nail underneath the edge and there are two of those. There are approx two or three little flea bite sections. Other then that – free flowing, elegant, superior lines, and quiet a rare find these days!
