Fine Antique INLAID Adams-Style 2 TIERED TABLE ITEM This is an absolutely beautiful two tiered mahogany occasional table with Adams style inlay. The lower shelf is made of a beautiful flamed mahogany which has an exquisite swirled graining but it's the top that really makes this piece special. It's intricately and ornately inlaid (this is NOT decals) ... with an Adams urn in the center and floral swags all around the border. The tapered legs have striping all the way down which add visual interest to them as well. It has a beautiful, rich patina and its original finish. This table has an elegantly simple silhouette while the top has a Victorian ornateness -- this combination enables this table to fit into any decor. Age (ca) c1900 Dimensions 24" Wide X 18" deep X 25" high. The lower shelf is 11" high. Condition Good original condition. Quite sturdy. T is a minor amount of finish wear that is commensurate with age and use but nothing that would constitute damage. Provenance This item is from a lovely old sprawling waterfront Victorian home on Long Island's north shore. Overlooking one of Long Island's exquisite deep water harbors, the serenity of the view from this home was only rivaled by their treasures inside ... from American and English 18th and 19th century antiques to French Country to Arts & Crafts items, this huge 12 room home had it all!
