Description: Rather nice 19th century snuff box – a little bit on the large size and quite unique in that it is made of horn which is a hard and dense material with great weight. The top surface is also quite unusual – I don’t know what material it is for sure but it appears to be a another type of animal surface. The combination of the dark and light it absolutely striking. The hinge is in very good condition. Overall the box is in great condition – no apology is to be made for this one! It measures 3 ½” x 1 7/8” x 7/8”.
