Description: Antique silverplate shaving beveled mirror on stand and mug. The shave stand has a hammered silverplate base with removeable bowl for the shaving soap, and holds a shaving brush. Bottom has incised mark that is partially obscured. What I can make out is 'xxxberg Silverplate Co.' and a number. I assume this is a Van Berg silverplate item, N.Y. The mirror is intact but showing its age; it does have some silver loss on it. The stand looks better than the photos show it, and it has not been polished, left as is. It is 12.25 tall. Included is the antique Wallace Bros. quadruple plate shaving mug w/removeable insert. It also has a slot to hold a brush. Engraved initials look like LAR on front. Also included is the vintage but unusued Robberset Made in USA shaving brush. Great items for your new, made to look vintage traditional or victorian themed powder room!
