Description: Antique 10 kt. pink and yellow gold agate stone cameo set brooch. The brooch measures 1.3125 in. (length) x 1.0625 in. (width). This piece was originally made as a necklace center piece, circa 1885. It has been converted with base metal pin for use as a brooch. This has knife edge wire scrolls with appliqueed leaves and stippled beads. The center is set with a rectangular cushion shape genuine agate stone cameo. This gauges 15.7 mm. (length) x 11.0 mm. (width) and depicts the profile of a classical warrior with feathered helmet in white over a black opaque background. (There is a slight chip along one edge of the stone). This piece has two (2) female clasp portions, so someone could add a necklace.
