This beautiful mahogany linen press was recently hand-crafted in England using the finest materials and techniques. The mahogany boasts a rich complexion and striking "flame" or "quarter-sawn" grain, enhanced by extensive mahogany crossbanding and canted corners, accented by antiqued solid-brass hardware. The upper cabinet section, which locks with an accompanying key, features two thick shelves, which are fully adjustable my means of an alligator bracket shelving system. The uppermost drawer is actually a secretary section with an inlaid green leather panel as well as several storage compartments and drawers. The fall, which also locks, is released by pressing the two buttons on the inside. The lower two drawers, which feature sturdy supports running through their centers, each feature hand-cut dovetailed joints (a sign of fine craftsmanship) and offer a great deal of storage space. The piece separates into three sections for shipping and easy movement: the cornice, the cabinet section, and the drawer section or base.
