Description:
Stunning reticulated French sterling silver dessert footed stand or tazza. Rococo in design with just a hint of a gilt wash to catch the eye. Simply a beautiful presentation dish for your favorite dessert or chocolates. The piece is marked for Tétard Frères, 4 rue Beranger, Paris. One can see why Frères took medals for his work around the turn of the century at world fairs. The stand is beautifully balanced in design. The dessert server is also marked for .950 French sterling silver as denoted by the mark referred to as the Minerva 1st. Titre mark. It weights approximately 335 grams and measures 9 inches in diameter. The stand is 1 ¾” high. The condition is very good. No breaks or repairs to reticulated work that I can discern. Normal surface scratches from use in accordance with age. Two small dings visible in the center of the stand. The footed base is level with one bend noted in the pictures. Overall, the stand/tazza displays beautifully. More pictures are available; please email me. Item ID: 2090032
