Description:
A beautiful remembrance piece for "Mother" or "Mère". The mourning hair piece has been skillfully fashioned into a floral work of art. It is then finished off with a small paper banner bearing its testament to "mother" . A cherished reminder of a beloved mother. Circa 1850~French Measurements; 7 1/2" long X 6 1/2" wide I brought this piece back from my last trip to France and England several months ago. It was hard to capture the beauty of the piece in pictures due to accumulated dirt on the glass. I had not wanted to open the frame, but finally did open it from the back. I carefully clean the glass and replaced it. The silk background is in very good condition as is the hair work. The only items to note regard the frame; there is a small crack and a small hole.
