Description: Antique Rococo gilt bronze ormolu 8-day miniature carriage clock. Made in France circa 1900.

Measures 2 1/2 inches tall not incuding the handle. THe handle reaches a height of just over 3 1/4 inches.

Rectangular shape. Rococo style - very rich and ornate. Each corner has a gilt bronze caryatid - pillar in the form of a human. Base and border of top are richly moulded spirals and scrolls. Thick crystal / glass on top, with sloping bevelled sides, reveals part of the jewelled works. Each side has exquisite floral openwork. THe front has a reserve for the clock face. The back has a handle for a door that opens to expose part of the works and in order to wind the clock with the two keys, provided. Clock is in good, working order.
